new from massachusetts 1971 GMC 3/4 ton
hello evryone i am new to the forum. Im fixing my fathers 71 GMC. Originally it had a 8' stepside bed, 307, th350. It now has a rebuilt 327 out of a 67 impala and a 700r4 transmission out of a monte carlo. Im fixing it up as a daily driver. me and my dad got halfway thru restoring it replacing cab corners, and the rockers, sandblasted and painted the frame, repainting the inside and outside of the cab, putting the new motor , and trans in all about 8 years ago and then he bought a newer truck and never finished it. So ive decided to resurrect it. Its not really that bad needs some frame work behind the rear cab corners. and i just found an 8' bed that i need to get refinished. The bed is so clean as far as lasck of rust (has alot of bondo from dents that were never pulled) and cash is tight right now, im thinking about just putting it on there now and having it painted in the spring, even though the colors dont match up, and the tailgate says CHEVROLET. il try and get some pictures on here . If you guys could hook me up with spare parts that you just have sitting around id appreciate it just dont have the money for new stuff. il get a list of what i need to get it finished. MORE PICTURES COMING SOON
