Hey subruban guys I need some help

I am gonna pick up a 66 4x4 sub from my friends uncle for $750 but it has no side glass and I was wondering if you guys know where I can get some or I am I gonna have to get custom cut glass. Also are the wheelbases the same as the swb trucks? I would really like to put a 73-87 one ton frame underneath it so I can make the tow rig from hell. She is pretty straight but the guy who had it before him cut up a perfectly good set of factory fenders to make a crappy tilt front end. I will get pics up soon as possible. Oh another thing, it doesnt have the napco stuff under it, just some plain old 10 bolts from a 89 k5 but it does have the original 4x4 instructions on the dash. Any help is appreciated.

My dad has 4 of these suburbans 1 is a parts truck, and he also has a ton of parts from another 66 suburban he scrapped. Needless to say he has some side glass. Not sure if you are missing the glass or the glass and side window frames but he might be able to help you. His forum name is muleman100 and he said he would PM you or post later today.

Re: Hey subruban guys I need some help

Can I get some interior pics? I dont have a headliner and want to know what they look like, I was kind of thinkin about just painting all of the interior metal and leaving it uncovered or having the interior shot with line x. Do you guys still run the wood floor outback? Could I just weld in a piece of diamond plate or 14 gauge steel?

Re: Hey subruban guys I need some help

I have a 'burb. The interior HAD an interior done at one point. Its gone except for the padding. I think they sprayed contact glue to the ceiling and then tucked the material under th strips on the lid. Its pretty easy to tuck something in there. I replaced the wire to my dome lite and saw how it was done. I want to replace it to keep the interior quiet.

Good luck, post some pics if you dig into it.
