$$$ to get frame straightened
How much should I pay to get my frame straightened? The frame is about an inch off. One place qouted me $250. Is that to much? Also, any Okies who has had their frames straightened? Where did you have it done at, and did they do a good job? Thanks.

I do collision and frame work for a living and $250 sounds about right for this area. Take into account the guy actually doing it only gets a small amount of that, the rest goes to the shop and owner. Another thought the frame work's outcome is only as good as the tech doing it lasers or not.

I have had my frame straightened. The place that did it weren't the best, leaving the truck sheetmetal misaligned in the whole fron end. The only way to notice it is if I was to tell you, but I'm a perfectionist ok????? Just remember, one the bend it AGAIN, it loses strength. If it gets in another crash, say bye-bye!

The guy told me the frame was diamonded. And it wouldn't take very long to fix it. I don't think the frame is actually bent anywere.

I recently wrecked and bent my font frame rails back to the front crossmember, kinked the steerig, to. I am going to cut the frame off a few inches forward from the firewall and take the whole front frame sectionout and replace it with one from the salvage. I can take good parts from mine( spindles, brakes, etc.) and bolt to the new one. I can disassemble the new one and put on new bushings, ball joints the whole 9 yards!!!! I will also paint it and maybe chrome some parts!!!!!!! I will cut the new one and weld it in place of the old one so I know its straight and strong and reinforce it with box steel. Its cheaper than straghtening, will be basically new and since I did the work I know it'll work!!!!
