how different are 2x4 and 4x4 frames
I've got a 1990 burb 4x4 V1500 and might be picking up a 1990 2x4 V2500. I want to make the V2500 a 4x4 and can use the V1500 as a donor vehicle so I'm wondering if I will need to fabricate brackets or will the 4x4 frame bracketry transfer to the 2x4 frame. Has anyone done this?
If you're wondering why I would even bother, it's to get a big block 4x4 with barn doors. Also the V1500 body is beat up more than I can stand...
