I went to my favorite yard today to check out the goodies, and boy did I find some - 3 tilt columns in one day! One is a van, one is a truck, and the other was in a custom van/camper. The auto selector was mounted on the dash so it has the head of a 4 speed tilt. But the column itself is shorter than the other columns (see pic - middle one). I'm sure it can be modified to fit in a truck. I also bought a 68 SWB to get the bed. It has a pretty decent short, fleet bed. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Keep your eyes on the parts board - some of this stuff may wind up on there after I decide what to keep and what to sell!!

I have owned (9) 67-72 trucks from which none had tilt

Been looking for a tilt @ yunk yards forever with no luck

Here's the truck I got. I found it a few weeks ago and went back yesterday to get the bed, but ended up buying the whole truck. The bed is going on the parts board in a few minutes...

Everytime I go to a yard I can tell instantly which trucks came with a factory tilt... the ones with the column missing

Cool scores. I got one off fleabay a couple years ago I've yet to install. They bring some nice $$$
