sorry guys, gotta ask...

OK.. so I've been unemployed now for a few months. Unemployment checks are not cutting it and I have to do the unthinkable, sell my baby. Im not happy about it at all. But when it comes to feeding my family and keeping a roof over their heads it becomes a no brainer. We cant eat the truck! LOL.

So anyway, I want to list it, but I dont want to short myself. I dont expect to get back everything that I've put into her, but labor and parts. God knows I put a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money into it!

So my dreaded question is, "WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE"S WORTH?".

Check out my blog to see some pics of her. I will put a few on this post also.

Vic:

Say it isn't so! I understand...I have a few of mine for sale right now for the same reason.

I am hopeful that things turn around for you and the rest of us, as well.

I am sorry to hear about your situation and I hope you have a blessed day.

Thanks Tony! If I remember correctly, my radiator holder on'er is from you.

Yeah, economy sucks really bad right now. Everyone is hurting, and I guess thats the only consoling thing... I'm not alone.

Vic:

You have bought a few 4-5-6 Chevy truck parts from me and hopefully those parts helped you get your rig roadworthy. Hang on to her if you can. In the meantime, I will say a prayer for you and your family.

I would be glad to give my two cents, but I need a little more info on your rig to do so. The more information the better.

Vic,
Times are tough right now. They WILL get better and you ARE doing what is right for your family. Knowing you are doing the right thing now, leads me to believe when things turn around, you will find another truck to replace the memories. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers man.

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Re: sorry guys, gotta ask...

My truck's my daily driver. Only way to stop myself from selling it if push comes to shove!

I'd sell the family Mercedes (an '80 Diesel) first, but only because parts for the Chevy are cheaper than '80 Mercedes Diesel doodads. Hopefully, it won't come to that.

Keep looking, and I pray it works out for you. That's a beautiful truck. When I hear stuff like this, it makes me wish I could buy it and hold it for you. However, I'm a broke-ass trucker, so that's out.

My dad always said it's the poorest people who help you the most, and here I am, with little more in my pocket than good intentions and bad suggestions: Maybe you could sell off a different vehicle? Enroll in school, and take the full student loan? Get a CDL, and start driving for a living?

Best of luck man!

Any money in selling plasma or other body parts? Try to keep the truck. When it is the last resort to sell her, I hope you make out OK.
