Re: Airbag Set Up

By the time you get done, its going to cost 1000+ dollars.....whats inexpensive? I thought this same thing too and it will nickle and dime you to death. Buy a kit and get everything, then thank yourself for not going to the hardware store 50x's ...........advice to consider.

Re: Airbag Set Up

i advise not buying from airbagit.com, they have less than stellar service *not trying to start anything* BUt yea a kit is the best thing to do. BUt if you want to piece a setup together it wont be to hard. Airridetalk.com has alot of good info if you are just wanting to learn some basic stuff. But there isnt really any inexpensive air setup

Re: Airbag Set Up

I have a friend that has had no problems but I looked on e-bay too and I think its fatrodders sells bags also for 200.00. You can buy a kit for around 700 but alot of times its a basic kit,If you shop around you can find what you want and not settle for what you get. You can also spend 895.00 on a plug and play kit if you have the money... Bags-200.00,airline and fittings-100.00,valves-35.00 each, fab my own brackets-NOTHING,tank-110.00,compressor-150.00-250.00. Piecing it togather spreads out the blow of cost but cost a little more sometimes but its what you want.Best advise get a classic truck magazine and a mini truck magazine and go from there. If you can fab your own brackets you can get a cheaper kit and its more hands on. Hey pro I am getting alot of spare stuff like comp, guages, bag cups, so piecing togather for me is cheaper but kits are the way to go but either way none are inexpensive.

Re: Airbag Set Up

I know how it goes shortbed70. Its all the OTHER stuff that adds up...like clamping lines and protecting everything. Then, for instance, smashing your brake lines and having to re-do everything from the prop valve out to the wheels. How about the 20' of 2guage battery cable; thats not included.

I just like to tell people that ask about it that there is a lot of stuff to think about before they think its cheap to get done.

Hey shortbed, hows that engine build goin'?

you won't find a digital system for cheaper than this. then you will need the bags and brackets. i say at least $2500 to do it.
