exhaust question
Anyone try a H-pipe or x-pipe on your dual exhaust? Any gains in power or torque? I am thinking about it since it is supposed to equalize the pressure and gain power. Anyone try this yet?

I have not done mine...YET. I have heard nothing but good from this. I do know this, if you can get an "x" pipe do it, they are more efficient then an "h" pipe...smoother flow of exhaust gasses as opposed to the 90 degree bend of the "h" pipe.

I don't know if an x-pipe will fit in my truck though. I have a '74 K-20 and with the lift and the driveshaft being so close I think I might have to use an H. We'll see when I get around to it.

On the dyno, they ALMOST always show gains in h/p and torque. They will also reduce the noise slightly.

I did a X pipe on mine and it did help in torque and horsepower. You can see how I ran mine here http://www.geocities.com/cjhicks1/exhaust.html
