Good score at the Denver Swap meet for my '53 3100
Called Classic Performance Products Tech line for advice about the steering box/exhaust manifold conflict I'm having putting a 283 in my '53 3100.
Even block hugger headers would not fit. He said log style manifolds from a 55 or 56 265 V8 would work. Saw a set on e-bay for $100 but at the Tri State swap meet in Denver yesterday I found a set for $20! Took them home and mocked it up and it's going to work. This project took a quantum leap forward. I'll have my son powell72 post some pics. |

Re: Good score at the Denver Swap meet for my '53 3100
I used the Hedman short style headers on my 54 V8 application and had no interference problems but it is tight next to the inside frame rails.
Another option is to use headers specified for an S-10 V8 conversion. |
