Makin' some progress on "CHUG"

Finally got some pics of some progress on my '65 "CHUG". 5 lug posi rearend is in, 5" drop coils, 3-1/2" drop in the front with disc brakes. Next is my new 383 stroker and 350 turbo. I can't wait to hear that baby thump! What do you guys/gals think?

Re: Makin' some progress on "CHUG"

Had the truck 5 years or so and haven't got to enjoy it. So this Spring I'm going to drive the wheels off of it. My plans are to finish the steering by putting on power steering and brake booster, putting in a tilt column, and I also have a seat out of a '90 model. As I'm driving it I'll tackle the cab corners, rockers, and fenders. Most important one of all and is next on the list is dropping the fresh 383 strocker/350 turbo in. Motor consist of Brarry Grant Silver Claw carb topped off with an old school CADDY breather, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Pro Comp Aluminum heads (205"/160"), Chrome Moly push rods, roller rockers(1.5/1.6 3/8") , Lunati cam/lifters
Adv. Duration: 300°/310°
Gross Lift: .500''/.515''
RPM Range: 2500-6500

Pete Jackson Noisy Gear Drive, balanced Eagle 383 Rotating Assy. Keith Black Hypereutectic Pistons

This is some of the stuff I could think of right off of the top of my head and I'm sure there is more that I can't think of!!!! I'll try and post some pics of the engine soon.

Very cool, sounds like you'll have one heck of a truck to enjoy soon enough.
