I'm looking for a VIN decoder, for one
and two, this is the only data tag i can find, did the Air Force remove the factory VIN plate? where should I look for the factory VIN?
TIA, Joe

If you do get it make sure you save that tag. Those things are cool. I have one off of one of my long gone 57 Chevy's (car). Its a brass Navy tag.

Well, it actually belongs to the wife and her brother, it was their dad's. they inherited it when he passed a couple years back. just need to get our '66 done (was her dad's also) and see about starting on this one....so do you know if the military removed the original vin tags?

Honestly dont remember if they had both the factory and military. The military one was large and screwed on the lower part of the dash. Now that I think about it I think it had both, because I took the military one off and there was no fuss about it being gone.
