Re: for those who don't understand

Very helpful -- I'm messing with the valve train on my '69 right now. By "messing with", I mean staring at it and scratching my head and looking at the service manual.

Yo!
From someone who's done it many times before, this is a very good link, and more is on the same page! Todd.

Re: for those who don't understand

Interesting.

So all you do is turn the motor over 1/4 turn when adjusting the next rocker.. pretty straight forward.

Re: for those who don't understand

when i first did it like you typically do it it did not seem right so when I came home it bugged me all the way down the road go on did a search and this is what I found. when it was talking to my uncle i told him what was messing with me was when I tdc#1 both lifters were down and when i did the rest they were in all different locations told him wouldn't it be easier to turn the motor a 1/4 turn and do in the firinf order then i ran accross this and he discribed it like i was thinking. the only thing that was messing me up was the valve lash i got it now lol. glad this helped
