One of the welds looks to be off by 1/128th of an inch, fix that and it's perfect.

What flare do you guys use on your brake lines, 37 or double 45?

By the looks of the sleeves and tube nuts, 37 AN?

Have you ever had a problem running aluminum AN fittings in a brake system? I was looking in to doing that, but was concerned about the pressures reached.

i can guarentee you that those fittings wont fail.....i use-to test hoses/fittings, that went on aircraft....and i can tell ya that -3 or -4 size fittings/hoses got pressure tested to 3 times its intended pressure.......ive tested -3 and -4 hoses/fittings/lines to 6-10,000 PSI with no failures...

we have never had any problems with
any of -3 or -4 or -6 or -7 or -8 or -10 fittings.As long as your flares are done correctly.

If you use stainless line, can you use the aluminum fittings, sleeves, and nuts or do you need stainless fittings, sleeves and nuts?

On all of our chassis we build and cars and trucks we build.
We use s.s line for brake lines and fuel lines and we use
aluminum fittings on both and we have never had any
fail.In the chassis pic you see that is all s.s line.

a chassis starter package
starting at $6000.00 this
will be less brakes,axles,3rd
member and brakelines
no motor mounts or tranny

we can build a tube chassis
on air bags on all 4 corners
for a short bed or a long bed.Look at the pics and ask any questions you might have.

Whats up Justin, it's Eric the Bail Bondsmen from San Jose. Dang that frame looks bad @ss! Still working on my 78 but I really need a frame. I was thinking of ordering some mandrel bent frame rails from autoweld and having you install the IFS kit I bought from you and do some crosmembers. Would you be interested in doing something like that?

Can you explain how them bones (or setup) work?

What are thier purpose?

Can this setup be dont on a factory 68 c10 frame?

Will that lay 32inch tire?

Dave they use Mustang II spindles. I don't know what brand though.

NTRUX thanks for the info. I was talking in another post that a MII front end is another good choice for our trucks. And thought I had looked at a vendor on here using MII components. Thanks for the clarification. That is the same setup they are using for the c-10 truck kits. They actually make those control arms them selfs.

The "dogbones" are essentially struts that do 2 things. First, they hold the rear axle in place. With our 2 bar style set up an upper link is necessary since we use a bushed joint for the lower mount, e.g, to keep it from swiveling. Second, it's adjustable and you can adjust and set your pinion angle with it.

Yes they are a Mustang II style spindle, however that begs me to note that although we do use a mustang II style spindle, the suspension is not a Mustang II (most of you know that already)

Please explain the difference between the dimension of a MII front suspension and yours? I realize you control arms may be different lengths. But would a MII control arm bolt up to your cross member?

After looking at a MII cross member and your C-10 I realize they are different. But they seem like your setup was engineered around a MII setup using C-10 measurements?

Actually no they won't.

The difference between the two is pretty simple, it's like the difference between the front suspension on a 88 ford ranger, and a 2009 GMC Yukon. Two different cars/trucks, and two different suspensions completely. Yes, the spindles might look similar, and maybe the crossmember is vaguely similar also, but that doesn't make them the same.

With each and every car we build a front suspension for, we take the dimensions of the frame rail and "design, engineer, and build" a unique, one-off suspension. We do not have any a-arms laying around on the shelf, nor de we have cross members piled up in the back. If you order a suspension and need a unique ride height, that's what it'll be built too. If you need a little bit narrower track, that's what we'll do.

Basically imagine the the CEO of Ford Racing was building himself a one off race car. Do you think he'd pull the suspension off of something he had laying around? No, he'd have his engineers design, and build him the best working suspension for the parameters of that vehicle. Well, that's what we do.

The Mustang II spindle is simply used so that brake parts and bearings are redily available.
