i'm at a loss

i did a intake swap and now i can't find the temp wire that goes from the firewall to the eng sender. i have always been very good at chevy wiring and it is crazy, but i don't know where it disappeared to. i know they are supposed to be green, but i can't find a green wire from the firewall. anybody got a picture of thier firewall so i can see what slot it comes from. oh yea its a 76 gmc 454.

Welcome to the forums! A little more info may be needed for you to get some help. What year/model is your truck. By the way, we love pictures here.

Maybe this might help. It is for 1985 C10-30. Good luck.

Re: i'm at a loss

thanks for the help. i have a schematic, and it shows where the wire should come through the firewall. but mine is not there on the truck. i really need a picture so i can see where it is located at the firewall. i know this sounds stupid, but it's as if it never was there. but i know it was. should have paid more attention when i took it lose, but i have done chevy wiring so many years, i just know where everything goes, till now.

The wire didn't land in the lifter valley before you put the intake on did it? Happened to me once and it took me forever to find the wire going under the intake at the back of the motor.

Re: i'm at a loss

ok, look at my breather, the black hole to the left of the breather, (cant hardly see it) but its the one closest to the master cylinder. thats where mine goes thru. but then my wire isnt green either, its black. i'm running aftermarket gauges, go figure. the green wire you see in the pic is for an aftermarket horn, not to confuse you................

Re: i'm at a loss

no it didn't land in the lifter valley. ive had that happen so i watch for it. there just seems to be no wire comming from the firewall that isn't hooked up to something already. i am getting old, so i might just be missing it. thats why i need a pic of what hole it comes from on the plug at the firewall. i should have paid more attention when i took it apart, but ive never had a problem like this before. damn its hard to get old. thanks guys, if anyone comes up with a good pic thank you.
