Lift it or leave it?

This is now my Blazer sits now. I am 50/50 on lifting it more or keeping it the way it is. What do you guys think? Right now it is about 5 front and 4 rear.

Unless you're planning something radical for off-road, I'd leave it. It looks good now.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

I like it the way it sets... Maybe some different wheels?? Wider (10" or 12") & a little offset... Spread those tires out some... Just my .02

What is the rim and tire combo you are running now? Do you know the backspacing?

Nice truck.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

Looks about right to me. Also depends on how much real world driving you do. When you start getting up in the 8 inch area driveline angles and what not start to get a little tricky. If you DO plan to lift if more, I would do alot of research on what adjustment need to be made. Plus keep in mind the rear suspension driveline angles and driveshaft lengths etc, will be a little different from a truck because of the shorter wheelbase. You might already know all this, just trying to help. Like others have said though, it's yours, make it what you want.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

They are the factory 15X8 rally rims powdercoated satin black. I think they have a 3.5" backspace. I am keeping them just like that with no trim rings or centers. The tires are 35x12.5 BFG KM2 mud terrains. I am leaning towards leaving it alone. Although I think I may take the front up an inch or so. I like that look of being atleast level or a little higher in the front.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

I really like the look of that thing. Of course with mine sagging on 40-year old springs everything else looks better than mine.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

Pics are really dark and tough to really see the tire/body clearance but a 4" lift and 35's make for a good driver.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

Thats about how my blazer started out but the itch to go higher got to me plus finding broken springs and a wasted rear axle pushed me that way too .

Re: Lift it or leave it?

Leave It! Talk to any Adult off roader, and theyll tell you, "If you want it to 'Function', that tire and lift combo is optimum.
If you are an under 23 year old male.... disregaurd this post.

BTW... sweet ride.

Re: Lift it or leave it?

This one has 8" lift and 38.5 tires on it. Not one you want to make long trips in does not handle well. I was much more happy with the 6" and 35" tires. My guess is if for a daily driver i would go back to 4" and 33".
Yours looks great with the 35".

Re: Lift it or leave it?

Let her be!!!
That is a great looking rig.
You've got me thinking I should powdercoat my rallys black as well. Looks great with just the chrome lugs
