Lug nuts.............
Where do you guys get yours. My 77 has those P.O.S. chromed capped ones that you can never get off. and make the clickity clack racket. I am to find some at a good price that are good quality. I tired the ones from Autozone on the 84 but they don't hold up like I had hoped and use the dumb locking lug that does not even fit...
This is gonna be on the 4x4 so six per wheel. Maybe an ebay seller? Thanks

Re: Lug nuts.............
Check a tire shop. They usually buy them in bulk, so they are cheaper.

Re: Lug nuts.............
My opinion is that there is only one lug manufacturer to use . McGard . Summit racing sells install kits with 16 lugs and 4 locks for like $40 . They are heavy and will not rust . Nice lugs .

Re: Lug nuts.............
If you get a wheel lock set make sure anybody (ie tire shop) that will remove your wheels know to NEVER use an impact gun on the key for the lock. Back when I had my buick it had the wheels with the lugs way down in the hole and they used a gun on the lock and ruined it. they had to break cut the wheel off to fix it. They did get me a new wheel free but still that took 2 days to fix.

Re: Lug nuts.............
I am pretty sure the 70's and 80's 6 lug 4x4's are 7/16-20 thread . I am sure someone who owns one will be able to confirm this or give you the correct info . You can also call Summit Racing and they have a tech line that should be ableto answer the question based on year , make , model , etc .
