Question about grinding noise

I have a 66 gmc truck wit ha 283 out of a 61 impala, 3 on the tree. When I came home from work today, with the truck in neutral a slight grinding noise could be heard. When I push in the clutch about 1/2 way the noise goes away. When I fully push the clutch down it also goes away. There is no noise when shifting through gears only when in neutral. Do I need to adjust the clutch or is the throwout bearing starting to go? Any help would be much appreciated.
