which transmission is the best for me ?

which is the best transmission for me ? i have a 79 scottsdale it's all oem. i would like to make sure that i get the right one for my truck. iam buying the kit then iam paying sum one to put it in.

I would recomend searching at hotrodders.com if you want to know why
one kit is better than the other and what modifications you need.

I'm sure the TCI is better, but if you really need it, I don't know.
Is your engine mostly stock? Do you do a lot of towing?

If your looking for a Non lock up TH350 rebuild kit go with the b&m overhaul kit. I just put one in and it was only $200 Canadian. The kit comes with everything you need for a stock rebuild.

my engine is mostly stock for now, i will be upgrade it,pulgs, wires,msd ignition,rotor kit. no i dont tow alot.

On the GM cars in the 80s that still used the TH350 they were equipped with
a lock up torque converter for fuel efficiency reasons.
I won't go into that because it goes beyond the scope of this forum.
google for more info.

Anyway, you won't need a kit that includes lock up converter parts.
