got started on my burb grill coneversion tonight

I was gonna start tommorow, but i got home bout 6 tonight and thought i would go out and get a jump on it. I've got my work cut out for me though. Two new gm fenders, gm hood, aftermarket inner fenders, the 91 burb grill swap and two shaved doors to put on and hopefully getting the truck primed and ready for paint should keep me busy while i'm off all next week. it's also getting all new rubber on the doors also, vent window rubber and all. and also a question about the drip rails over the doors, has anyone taken these off their trucks? what are the pros(if any) and cons of doing this? I just think maybe it would look better since the doors are gonna be shaved. although i got the rad support out by myself, luckily without tearing anything up, i bet i will def. have some help when i put it back.I'm just glad i was able to scoot the a.c. back after taking the radiator out without having to loose my freon. and heres some pics of my progress i made tonight

Good luck with the conversion. I know what its like.
Ditch the drip rails. I did. Only problem is getting out the truck when it's raining. Just watch it!! Oh if do remove them, replace the door weather strip or more than likely you have a nice leak too.

Looks like a lot of fun.

If you are shaving the doors, most definetely shave the drip rails. I would also close up the stake pockets too. While you are closing up the stake pockets, remove the front pocket inside the bed.

Oh, and how about setting the date on that camera?
