hey
whats up guys new here from north carolina i have a 78 chevy pickup that i have been doing a restoration for the past year but only got it tore down with the cab and engine still bolted down and that is because of making decisions and getting a carport and having to move my truck to it as you can see in my avatar but i have to move it back not my choice anyways all this started back in 2005 when i got a chevy duty catalog and i said i am going to find me a truck and do a restoration. well i found a couple but something would happen or they would get sold but finally in october 2006 i finally found it, a 78 chevy 4x4 automatic short wheel base for 1,250 dollers about a hour from my house so i pick up the phone and called and talked to the guy and he said well there is aonther guy that wants it but i will keep you posted on what happens so i waited a few days and called back and he said he is coming to give me the money this week he wants to turn it into a hunting truck well i just shook my head but i asked if he could send me some pics and he sent me a few well i thought it was in to good of shape to turn into a hunting truck so i crossed my fingers and hope that that guy would not get it well i called back in a week and he did not come get it yet, so guess he had changed his mind so i talked to him and said i will buy it so i ask if he would take some down and make payments well if any of yall have sold something and got jipped you know what i mean well he thought about it and said ok i will take $500 down and the rest later but he wanted me to come and look at it so i went and looked at it that weeked and called him back and said ok i will buy it and that next week he got a guy to bring it on a trailer for me well when it got here the guy cranked it up and backed it off the tailer and i drove it around the circle of my neighborhood and well it smoked a little but nothing to worry about, well thats what i thought, it got worse so i tuned it up and fixed up the interior that summer and me and my girlfreind was getting marrird so i fixed it up was going to take it to get inspected well it started smoking and my girlfriend said she could not see behind her so i looked back and all i could see was smoke so i pulled over and was going to raise the hood and i seen something driping on the ground so i lifted the hood and seen that the fuel line was leaking so i said lets go back and i parked it well i fixed the fuel leak and was going to fix the smoking but i got fed up because when i would fix that another thing would tear up so i said the heck with it and i got a drivers side fender from a friend and put it on well for some reason it would not fit so i really got crazy and started tearing it down and that is why it is where it is today
