Exclamation Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

That's not a fare trade.....you really need to apologize!!
Makes me wonder what forums that other guy was on, and everyone telling him to trade before you changed your mind!
It's a GMC so it's got to be good.

Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

Everyone.
I just wanted to assure you that my site is Visur free.
I update my AVG Virus Detection Daily along with Spybot and run checks 2-3 times a week.
I had one other person say that his Macafee showed it was a "Dangerous site"., but I assure you, I've had this site (created the page myself) for over 10 years.
It just changes with the Vehicles I own!

;+)

Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

S/T,

The IRONIC thing was, that about an hour after the Trade, I'm driving home in my new 72 GMC.
I get a Text Message from the guy I Traded my 96 Tahoe to, and he proceeds to text..."Your Are Dishonest"!
I'm like WTF!!!
He says "Your Tahoe has Transmission problems shifting from 1st to 2nd gear".
I wanted to text him back and say "Eat ****", but I took the high road and politely told him that when the Tranny was rebuilt, they put a Shift Kit in it, and it DOES have a neck-Snapping 1st to 2nd shift.
I was up front with him on EVERY aspect of my Tahoe. I knew going into this that I would get a "Diamond In The REAL Rough", but that's what I wanted.
He on the other hand got a 96 Tahoe with Instant Heat, great AC, Power Disc Brakes, 20" Aftermarket Tires/Wheels, and so clean you could eat off the seats.
I washed, Vacuumed, cleaned the Windows and did the Tires the night before our Trade.
I always try to "Pay it Forward".
He didn't do **** when it came to cleaning his Truck.
Don't give me that CRAP about me being Dishonest!
He didn't even know that my Wife's a Cop and has been for 13 years, and I would NEVER do anything Dishonest that would REMOTELY Sully her career.
THE NERVE OF SOME PEOPLE!

Off the Soapbox for now!

Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

Also for the Gearheads I wanted to tell yo I'm running:
235/70R-15 In Front.
275/60R-15 in the Rear

Also came with a set of (4) 20" aftermarket Chrom 5 Spoke Wheels w/ Goodyear 245/45Z R20.

I think I'm gonna have the 20's put on for the Time being, to make me feel better, as she is a little "Rougher Looking" than I'd like.

Also if anyone can help with what Rear End Gear Ratio I may have.
The guy I traded, didn't know, but with a TH350 I'm running about 2200-2500 RPM at 60-65 MPH.

3:73 Gears Maybe??

Thoughts?

Did he seem ok with your explanation of the shift kit?

Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

Oh Absolutely.
He said "No Problem".

I think what a lot of the problem was, that this guy was severely Hearing Impaired. He used one of those TTY things, and a Translator, so sentences, words were rearranged and out of order. When I got a phone call from him once it was one of those Live Operators, leaving it for him, on my phone.
I swear this guy Texted me probably 18 times in 45 minutes, regarding this Trade.
I think he was JUST as excited as I was.
In fact after all was said and done, I thought he was gonna be one of those people that "wont let go" after a Transaction is done.
In fact my life was kinda empty today because there were no e-mails/Text's from him today!

Talking Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

UPDATE!

My 72 GMC (Now to be known as "RATIKLE").....

Has been at the Mechainics since last week , getting the once over for Street Worthiness".

1) The previous owner used (2) Tranny Pan gaskets and Clear Silicone to seal the Tranny Pan!
So that gasket has been changed as well as the Filter assembly which was laying in the bottom of the Pan. 1st night there, it left a 2' Tranny Oil puddle on the floor!

2) Lower Ball Joints were shot, and now those have been changed.

3) Upper/Lower Radiator Hoses and Radiator Flush with new coolant.

4) Valve Cover Gaskets replaced.

5) Chrome Spark Plug Wire Looms.

6) (2) New Spark Plug Heat Jackets.

7) New Rear Shoes, Turned Drums.

8) Make Oil Gauge operational again.

9) Put in new Steering Wheel/Horn Kit and Signal Cancelling Cam.

10) Oil/Oil Filter Change.

This mechanic is one of the Few Dying Breeds. His Shop is in a 100 year old barn, with old Oil Cans, sighns, Posters, **** haning everywhere.
Loves to work on, and build Hot Rods/Muscle Cars. He currently has a 70 Nova that will only run on Aviation Fuel!

Very cool/Laid back kinda guy. We've been using him for 5 years now and hes never let us down on any of our vehicles, hes worked on.

The anticipation builds......................

Re: Need you opinions on a trade?

Man, you should be ashamed of yourself trading that other truck for this gorgeous, classic hotrod of a truck

Just kidding! Wow! That's one sweet looking ride you have there, bro! Keep up the great progress!
