Fuel Pump question
Well today I pulled the fuel pump off and when it came off the rod shot out and a broken spring came out with it too. It dont look like its from the old fuel pump.... Is there a spring that goes in before the rod?
Thanks -Jc Last edited by 72bucket; 04-12-2009 at 07:17 PM. |

Re: Fuel Pump question
There is a return spring on the arm of the fuel pump but there is not any springs in the engine in that area of the pump.

Re: Fuel Pump question
2 springs in there? got any pics ? Just curious. As noted, there are no springs in there except something built into the pump. You just need the pump, the block plate and the pushrod.

Re: Fuel Pump question
Doubt the kid at Kragens will know.
Cell phone pics may be good enough to ID it. |

No pics but I went ahead and removed everything out of there and just replaced the old one with a new one..... My guess is that it was left in there years ago by accident when that one was replaced. Either way thanks for the help. -Jc |
