I think I may have a problem
I am trying to get the cab from my '82 on a frame that I have and when trying to get the drivers front bolt out I broke it off. There looks to be about a half inch of threaded bolt still in the cab and the way these cabs are mounted this might just be a serious situation. I have only taken that one out so far, so there is a possibility that this will/can happen 3 more times. Has anyone delt with the situation, or know of a good way to handle it?
I was thinking that I could get a holesaw and cut some holes in the floor from the top for access to get some heat or penetrating lube and just to drill them out. That seems like it could go bad ending up with me needing a new cab. I know a new cab would fix the situation, but I'd like to try and see if something will work because I am on such a tight budget. I know, who isn't ![]() Any ideas?

Re: I think I may have a problem
Well... if it were me Id just soak the other bolts for a day or so. That way they have a chance of comming out easier. If you can get them out without incident, you may be able to drill and tap the other one out. Hope it gets worked out for ya.

Re: I think I may have a problem
i agree with XS and if worst comes to worst they do sell the front mounts that you can buy from our site vendors and just replace that
