Putting a 77 4x4 frame under a 71 body
Hey guys, I am converting my 71 c10 short box to 4x4 and found a 77 short box 4x4 frame. How much mod will this take to make it work? any info is helpful. thanks in advance

It can be done with some mods. I myself don't know the extent though. Send a pm to Mudder. He has done this and knows what it takes.

You need to check you wheel base. I know on the long box trucks, the newer trucks have a longer wheel base. The body mount locations are not in the same place. I have seen this done on a lwb truck, but it was by no means a show truck. I think the guy used it as a mud bogger.
