Question Motor mount towers

I am getting a 64 Chev. It originally had a 6 cyl but has no motor now. Where can I get the correct towers to put a 350 in it?

I think I still have a set of sb mounts in the garage from my '65. I will look and let you know. I live just down the road from you in Sachse and am through Allen a couple times a week.

I have a 65 short-bed step-side that came with a 6-clyinder when I put a 350 in it all I did was moved one motor mount so that it lined up with the other.Your frame should have holes near where the motor mounts are.The frames are fatory drilled for I6 or v-8 engines.

Any v-8 or I6 motor mounts from 1960-72 should work.My 350 came out of a 69 3/4 ton chevy truck I was able to use the motor mounts for the 69.

63-72 SBC towers should work. 60-62 used a front mount instead.

I6 mounts *may* work if you move them around, but they are different. You may run into some alignment problems that could affect various linkages, driveshaft angle/length, etc.
