That's strange. You will get a message in your email about 'why', what did it say?

Very interesting Fred. The only link that worked for me was the Tri star one. I think he has more than 1 new e-bay ID since I saw a auction from the same town as his trailer place, Terrell, TX, It was for parts for a 67-72 truck and it looked strangely like his old descriptions. It seems that he has split himself into two! Too bad he has to go to such extremes just too mess with people.

I see now that it is the same guy. Here is my question and his answer about an add on Craigslist:

"What is your name? There is a guy that I have been advised not to deal with. I need 67-72 parts quite often but if you are him, I don’t need them that bad.

if your from the message board ,go tell them i sold parts to 6 of the members this past weekend at pate ,if you want the best price on new parts fine, if you dont then move along"

I decided to "move along"

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

This guy is listing on Austin Craigslist for sure. I saw a SWB frame for $150 and called. I talked to him for a few minutes and he seemed very shady. I couldn't figure out why he was listing a frame in dallas on Austin's craigslist 4 hrs away. Times must be getting tough in Dallas for him. During the conversation he said he builds 5 trucks per year and has one with $3K worth of air ride he is building right now. He said the air ride stuff was all chromed. That is what raised the flag in my head and got me thinking it was the same guy. I am glad I am a member here and didn't get scammed.

If any of you guys ever see this A-Hole punch him in the face for me. He owes me $273 for parts he never sent! I wish I was a memeber here before I ordered them. I would have steered clear. It's great we have an environment where we can keep each other away from the trash of the world.

Sailed2Japan - Contact your local police or district attorney. Since he is in Texas and has a record they should be able to help.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

HEADs UP fellas, James Blanton is back in business on ebay. His user name is fireman2184 It says his location is Point, Tx. Make no mistake about it, its him. He also claims his name is Mike.........well, thats part truth. His girlfriend is now the Mayor of our small town, and Mike is our Water Boy. Mikes job was reading meters, fixing leaks, that was it, up until recently. He has an additional responsibility now........you guessed it, selling parts and fielding call for none other than James Blanton himself. I dont restore old trucks, I found this site after googling James Blantons name. I have read all of the previous post on this topic and I have to say I am NOT surprised. Although each person that has been scammed has my sympathy. I hope my post will prevent future "Hard Working Americans" to avoid losing their hard earned $$. All of you that contacted authorities about him, Good Job!! But after his girl friend was elected Mayor the cop that was trying to take him down got fired. (Well he actually resigned, but it wasnt completely voluntary)
