tunnel ram under the hood

this may be a dumb question but can i fit a tunnel ram under the hood of my 1970 GMC? any pics you guys have of trucks with tunnel rams would be great. im toying with the idea of a tunnel ram on my truck with the small block im building

no i aint got no pics but your gonna have to cut the hood..they stick out about three inchs with a small blcok

they do make some low rise dual 4 barrell intakes. I have seen those under several truck hoods.

Motor only:
6.44 1/8 @ 104.13
10.39 1/4 @ 125.83

Nitrous Times:
5.785 1/8 @ 118.65 with a 1.336 60ft
9.168 1/4 @ 142.58 with a 250 shot dead out of the hole!

There is a guy locally here that has a 1960 with a t-ram under the hood. Not sure how much difference there is in a 60 than a 70. He has a SB.

you can use the crossram but alot harder to tune

Edelbrock now makes a Performer RPM Air Gap intake for dual quads. That's the most modern solution and probably your best bet.

I have an older holly ram when i mocked it up the carbs would be out about an inch.... I think it will fit under a good sized cowl hood
