LMC Chrome Bumpers

Anyone buy chrome bumpers from LMC? How are they, fit, finish, and quality? How long have you had them and are they holding up?
Thanks

I think you will find that most board members frequent A site vendor rather than LMC.

Re: LMC Chrome Bumpers

Most of the new chrome bumpers are a fair duplication with minor flaws. I have had to do some grinding on a couple that I have bought for the carraige bolts to go through the holes. The metal is thinner than OE and the plating is normally sub-standard and they will rust front and back if not waxed occasionally. Most of these I mention are "made over seas"

There are also some that are reproduced now that are made or chromed in the USA and are a much better quality....however they are about $400.

You can also chrome your straight core for the bargain price of $700-$1000

Re: LMC Chrome Bumpers

I remember reading someone recommended painting the back side of these repo chrome bumper to help keep them from rusting so quickly, anyone agree with that?

yep...painting or waxing regularly is what I have been told also. I waxed all mine and they do fine......however mine are kept indoors and are rarely driven in the rain so I am not a good case study!

Re: LMC Chrome Bumpers

I think almost all the vendors get their bumpers from Counterpart so IMHO just chose the cheapest.
I've bought 3 or 4 bumpers from LMC with no problems. They're the premium ones. Like LUV2XCLR8 said, I agree the premiums are worth the little extra.
