New to Forum

I am new to the forum and looking to pick up a 67-72 SWB Truck. Took a few days to get my membership approved. I have had my eye on a few and have not settled on just one truck. I am In Vegas obviously by the name and have not seen many Vegas peeps on the forum. if your in the area I am always down to help someone out and always down for BBQ work parties...

heres pics of one truck I am thinking about buying AS IS with no motor, tranny, bed, wiring and interior.

Re: New to Forum

welcome from central ohio

It looks like the rear window has been messed with, made a bit smaller, but looking at the doors, the top wasn't messed with.

Re: New to Forum

I asked the guy and he said the cab is completely stock. just fixed some rust a bit.

I originally was going to buy a driver while I slowly worked on it. But I have maybe decided to just get a truck that will take 4-5 months to finish.

I have a few more around the southwest I am waiting on pics to see before going after.
I would actually prefer a non bagged truck. Will be running 20s, with lots of lip. Love the look on this green truck.
Lots of wheel probably 10.5s in back and 8 wide in the front. 6/4 drop or something.
Of course It will be a HUGE motor as i am a horsepower junky. A nice sleeper very quick Truck.
I have not fully decided on a color yet or exact wheels but Boyd has some wheels I like with of course Coys as well.
I should have made a decision on a truck by this weekend.

SOme of the trucks I have seen are already painted which I would prefer not to pay for a paint job when I want to get rid of the drip rails, shave the handles off and relocate the fuel tank. not to mention patch trim holes if needed.

I also LOVE the look of a wood bed in these trucks. Very very sweet looking.

The orangeish truck is also one I found in Ca but the paint could be hiding a lot.

Re: New to Forum

Welcome from Miami!!!!
There are alot of great trucks to be had. I always look around the net and have found some really nice truck that If I had found before I built mine who knows maybe I would had bought one instead of buiding one.

Re: New to Forum

I have seen some really nice clean trucks. In fact some that are flat out awesome!!! most are sold long before you can get a hold of them LOL

I would prefer to finish a truck myself though.

Really waiting on one that just left the body shop and the guy is sending me pics. Suppose to to be half ass except the body work was just completed.
