Question CCP C-Notch Fitting problems?

Has anybody had fitting problems with these notches? I have one frame rail (66 burb)cut out so far and there is no way the notch is even close to fitting. My cut is not the problem. It is built wrong. It will have to be taken apart and altered and welded back together. CHOKED in peachland !!!

Do you have pics? I remember one posted here a while back on a 67-72 truck frame. It wouldn't fit flush against the frame rails because the "curve" was wrong.

Not sure if it was a CCP notch, but it was bolt in.

Re: CCP C-Notch Fitting problems?

I don't know how to post pic's.I do have pic's in the digital. The problem is that the notch side rail is flush against the frame rail which holds the bottom plate of the notch from lining up to the bottom frame rivet holes. Are the 67-72 notches different from the 66 ? All I know is that these things are looking like scrap now.

Mine fit well, it was a bolt in but I also had them weld it in.

Re: CCP C-Notch Fitting problems?

Yes I removed rivets from both frame rails, four on one side and two on the other. The things are just flat out built wrong. Thanks

Re: CCP C-Notch Fitting problems?

Maybe it has to do w/ 66 burb vs pickup? I've heard from several that they fit well on 67-72 trucks...do your framerails have the same bend as the trucks right where it goes over the rear?
