Swapping to discs, steering linkage too?

Long story short, Im tired of my 67 sitting in the garage. Ive already got my PB dropmember sitting in my living room waiting to go in, but I dont have the time or money for that this summer for that as I decided last winter to go back to school.

Im gonna throw my 73+ drop spindles on(converting to stock discs), throw the bags in, and enjoy it for the rest of the summer like that. Eventually adding onto the air system by the end of summer and probably dragging the control arms just about off.

I know the ball joints need swapped out for the different spindles, but does the whole steering linkage need to be updated to the 73-87 as well? Or can I just get away with outer tie rods?

Id rather not have to replace the whole thing cause I wont be using it next year as I'll have the r&p with my dropmember.

You can use just the outer tie rod ends, but you will need to buy special adjuster links from a place like CPP to adapt the later outer tie rod ends to the early inner tie rod ends. They are dirt cheap though.

Thanks, thats what I need. I had thought about making some of my own, but those will work. $50 aint exactly dirt cheap though.

Wow, I guess I might need to keep up a little closer. I didn't realize they were that much now. 50 bucks is way beyond my dirt cheap category too.
