Re: A/C help
R12 is difficult to get but it can be found its just expensive.
You can get kits to convert to R134. Try some of the vendors that support this site.

Re: A/C help
r-12 is still available. but Most states if not all require a license to purchase it. If you are doing a new system use the r134a. If you just need a can or so to get your system to work properly take it some where to get it charged or find someone who can get it for you.

Re: A/C help
you can buy a kit at any parts store.
I recomend having it done by a pro since you don't have the tools to do it right. |

Re: A/C help
Read this:
http://www.autoacforum.com/messagevi...&threadid=7567 Flush the system. Adjust your POA. (Link above). Replace all the O-rings. Install a new receiver dryer. Evacuate the system. Fill with R134a. Done.

Quote:
Change the low and high side fittings or add adapters so that the 134 charging connecters fit. Add correct amount of refrigerant oil compatible with R134. Add High side cut-out.
