trail of smoke

she's smokin when i run high rpms. any ideas? plz don't say piston rings... anyhow, this is giving me the perfect opportunity...ls1/t56 swap time ...anyone done a genIII swap have any advice for me?

That's the "Automatic High Speed Upper Piston Lubrication System" that GM has installed on it's engines. It seems to be working fine.

what trans did you go with? did you have to move the front xmember?

I used the 4L60E transmission. The front x-member clears the oil pan perfectly but you need to buy or fab offsets for the motor mounts account of the Gen III motor mount bosses are further back than the earlier blocks. ECE make a motor mount adapter kit that replaces the stock towers which is what I used.
