does anybody make a patch panel for above the winshield for a 65 ?or do i have to cut one from another truck?

I have seen them from LMC and Classic it is for the intire length of windsheild

Thanks fixie, I went back and looked again and found it.

But it says 60- 63 , is it gonna be the same for a 65?

I've got one for my '63. LMC and others only offer '60-'63 right now. The '64-'66 is different. So, the ones currently for sale will not work. You're right in that you'd have to cut a good section from another truck to make your own patch panel.

I can tell you the one I got from Dixie Truckworks (I think they're a sponser, not sure) is a quality patch panel and includes the rain gutter. I'm not sure which company this piece originates from, but it's also only $65 from Dixie versus $99 from LMC. I picked it up from Dixie because they're right down the road from me and I didn't have to pay shipping (and they were much cheaper).
