autometer fuel gauge

hi guys does anyone know what needs to be done to for an autometer fuel gauge to work with standard 63 fuel sender unit or will it work ok???.
Standard sender unit has been tested and works,I have seen this question here before but cant find the thread,cheers

Harry, have you tried it yet? If you have the correct gauge (0-30 ohm, autometer sells them in several ohm ranges) it should be OK.

Autometer does offer 0-30 ohms fuel gauges, but only in certain styles and sizes. If you already have a gauge, you may be able to use a resistor to make it compatable with your '63 sender. It just depends on which gauge you have. You might try sending a PM to Vin63, he rebuilds fuel sending units.

thanks guys the guage is an autometer phantom series but i will try it out as i know the sender unit works fine now cheers

thats waht I did, and it works like a charm
