new track results!
Ran it Friday night, wind was 10-15 out of the north, track due east. And since this was the first TNT of the year, track was full! So I was only able to make two runs, and did no tweaking, jetting or anything.
First run: R/T 0.785 60ft 1.89 330ft 5.41 1/8 ET 8.41 1/8 MPH 81.38 1/4 13.27 MPH 98.87 Second run: R/T 0.658 60ft 1.84 330 ft 5.37 1/8 ET 8.36 1/8 MPH 81.53 1/4 13.21 MPH 99.09 carb is still jetted 73/73's, timing at 38 total, 27.2" ET streets, 3000 stall, and shift at 6000-6100. so not quite the 12's I was hoping, but it was cold (40's) and not alot of traction. So I hope with a sunny decent track and some tune time, I can squeeze a low 12 out of it. Jast sharing the run.... That friend of mine I posted pics of his Pro Street '54, he ran a new 10.35@130 MPH, then on his second run, blew UP the rearend....but he was still happy! |

What is your rpm at the traps? With 4.11's you might want to run a 29 or 31 inch rear tire. I am envious of you, no track time till next month for me. The end of the summer I'm going with a 540/650hp. Keep on posting your track results

Glad you were able to make it out there Tracy. Hopefully you can get some more runs in next time to tweak a bit more

I will try in May....I plan to do more teaking, as the carb is untouched out of the box, and I think I can play with more timing......man I need another hobby!

Nice update Tracy, I am sure you can find .30 seconds to get you there. Think of this as a baseline.
