FS: 350 SBC Vortec Long Block

I have a 2002 5.7L (350ci) for sale. It is a long block from the valve covers down to the oil pan. My buddy pulled it after the intake leaked. It has right about 98k miles on it. They replaced it with a GM crate long block part number 12530283. They list it as a 5.7 Liter L31 H.D. Engine. I got it with hopes of doing the rings and bearings in it and having a nice higher power, but still stock GM, motor for my 86. I have since changed direction in that area and have decided to sell this motor.
REDUCED: $250 MUST GO!! plus a ride
SALE PENDING

Re: FS: 350 SBC Vortec Long Block

I can see about shipping it to you if you are interested.
I am not gonna use it, so why keep it in the minimal space I have left? All I have is a 2 car garage and my wife has to park in half of it. So, you get the picture. A motor crate takes up some space.

Re: FS: 350 SBC Vortec Long Block

Any ideas what it weighs? If I can get an engine with transmission plus extras shipped to me for $200 from Cali, I bet with my shipping discounts at work it would be fairly reasonable.

Re: FS: 350 SBC Vortec Long Block

No clue on the weight, Bob. I think I have it traded for a NV3500. I will know soon for sure. It is crated and ready to get strapped tight and go to a new home.
