Re: 1963 C10(Worthing Restoring)????

It all just depends on how much cussing you want to do, work you're willing to put into it, money you're willing to spend.

There are certainly trucks in better condition out there- as well as worse.

It also depends on how cheap it is- you could always pick it up for a parts truck.

Re: 1963 C10(Worthing Restoring)????

That truck reminds looks a lot like my grand-dad's truck that i am now rebuilding for myself. A lot of daylight shining through in places that are hard to find patches for. At least around my roof its still good and most of the sides so I'm going to try my best tor repair the cab because it has so much sentimental value.
All i've got to say is given the price, it is probably worth it if it has a clear title. At least you will have a good "legal" foundation to build on and consider a challenge .

If the windshield is still good I'd snap it up just for that

That one is a gonner.
Just an idea. Fly down to Disneyland in Kali around mid Oct. Have some fun for 1-2 days and on 16 Oct go to the Pomona swap meet. You will find plenty a rust free trucks to choose from.

The larger the challenge the more satisfaction in the end.

I'd restore it

Man, that's pretty sad.

If you've got the space - it would make a minimal parts truck, but other than the few pieces you might get off it - it may not be worth the effort.

If you try to restore this thing - we'll find you and kick your butt.

Mac.

Thumbs down Re: 1963 C10(Worthing Restoring)????

I would pass on that truck!
To much Labor intensive.

Alot of rust, and body work that has to be done. That is just looking at the pictures. Who knows what underneith looks like.
Frame, Inside, Floor pans, (if there is still a floor left)It may have been wrecked as well. Look at the front bumper.
The bed has been tweeked. It hit hard on the side. Or it ran over something. The Cab may be tweeked as well.

Sometimes you don't know what you are getting into untill you start tearing it apart.
I would have to go look at the truck and forsee how much work and money it would take to make it look right. If you coud buy it cheap
and use it for parts would be good.
