hi. i bought a 65 truck to get the a/c and part out the rest. i assumed that this was factory air. i took some pictures of the cut out in dash. it looks kind of funky. do all the cutouts look this bad?. is this a dealer add on? any one have pictures of their hole?

no to put these vents and a/c unit into my truck i have to up the dash and firewall. is there a template available.??

It is factory air, however it's missing the cosmetic cover or outlet bezel. Factory air was available stating from 65. Before that it was a dealer installed option. I would recommend getting an assembly manual or an accessories installation reference manual. Lots of good information available with these manuals. Hope this helps

Re: factory air ?

ok. thats all very helpfull. i have a assembly manuall but i will get the accessory manual.
so i think i have a factory a/c that someone installed into this truck at a much later time.

so are all the holes hacked out like mine or do they look better?

is the a/c dash different than no a/c?

here some more photos of vents and behind glove box.

Re: factory air ?

The trim pieces look factory to me. But to cut a hole like that, I dought the factory did that but then again I wasn't there..
Where in SF are you located? I am over in the Eureka Valley/Twin Peaks area.
