So, you don't need someone to come and help you work on your truck. You need someone to bring a camera and take some flippin pictures!! I think I will come and take a pic of you standing beside my truck. With some fresh cans of krylon for my porch chairs.............. Last edited by highperf4x4; 09-29-2009 at 11:43 AM. |

Re: John's Project
That's probably the only way you will get pics . Like I have stated before I'm not a big picture taker. Then when I try to appease the masses I get stuck with a dead battery.
You still don't have those chairs painted? What about the blower box on the truck? |

Re: John's Project
Hey you can spend all the quality time with our trucks that you want, as long as progress is made. Doesn't have to be a lot of progress, just progress.
Oh and the reason you don't have heat is because it's not as hot outside right now. Sorry couldn't resist. That's what you get for fixing your a/c so well. Now your heater doesn't work. |

Re: John's Project
Just the fact that you think my a/c is working so well tells me that you're not up to speed on things around here!

Re: John's Project
Thanks Troy. I hope to have some pics Monday. I'm pulling the motor out then, and will get after the engine compartment. Yeah I have a Thumpr cam in the new engine. Can't wait to get it in and fire it up to see what it sounds like.
Your a funny guy Travis. |

Re: John's Project
I made it perfectly clear in the beginning I am horrible at taking pics.
Like I said I'll take some tomorrow after we get the engine and tranny out. |

Re: John's Project
Ok here are the pics. Not much to look at. My uncle came over this morning and helped me pull the engine and tranny. Went pretty smooth since I already had everything unbolted, and unhooked.
Didn't get any pics of the engine. Needless to say it was NASTY! I gave the engine to a kid that works for me. He has a 86 SWB 4x4 that is a play truck for him. He was wanting another engine in case the 305 he has goes south. I didn't have any use for it, and didn't have anywhere to store it. So it's a win win. I have the 350 tranny, but didn't get any pics of it either. If you have seen one you have seen them all. Same as the engine, nasty! So now it's on to cleaning it up. Going to load it on a trailer and take it to the car wash and get the biggest part of the gunk off. Then going to get everything cleaned up and painted. Then get the new engine, and tranny and get them painted. My uncle said he would help me put the new one in, and help sort out, and clean up the wiring. |
