Measuring wheel fitment; where to go?

So while I was under my truck today I took down a measurement of the wheel tubs and usable space and discovered that a 11-12" wheel would fit quite nicely but before I go out dropping a couple grand on new wheels and tires, I need to make sure that the measurements are exact, so I'm not too keen on doing them myself. Is this something that I could take to a local tire store, or should I take it to a local shop and have them make the necessary measureents?

Also, you guys rock!

Re: Measring wheel fitment; where to go?

Is your truck lowered?
Do you plan on ever bagging it?

Either way,... I would have the suspension work complete before you order wheels.
I'm a big proponent of "measuring your truck, yourself",... so I don't know where to direct you to, to get an anwser.
You might hit up member CLASSIC87' to get his measurements.
Also,... what size wheels?

Re: Measuring wheel fitment; where to go?

My trck has a 2/4 drop right now. I'm going to bag it eventually but when I bag it I'll be getting new wheels again.

I'm loking at a set of lightweight 17's right now with some stick General tires.

Talk to Travis. He had a similar setup on his Blazer.
