73 rear end
Ok guys I bought a 73 c10 front end and rear end so I can have disk brakes and 5 lug on my 69 Swb, I wanna keep my coils in the rear so i wanna know if I can take out the 5 lug axle of the 73 and slide them In my 69 rear end without any problems....

No you can't. The later axles are 3/4 inch longer each. Your easiest bet it to get a set of axle saddles and a track bar from ECE or similar place and just run the whole rearend.

perches to mount the axel on the trailing arms are available you'd need them welded on plus a mount for the panhard bar// and easy conversion

Thats what I did to my 70 to go from 6 to 5 lugs. Just swaped the axels from a 70 something but dont remember what year. Didnt even change seals or anything.

They changed the rearends to the wider ones partway through the 70 year model run. Your must be one of the later 70 units that's wider. His 69 is definitely narrower.
