Air bag size?

Hey guys, i am wondering something, what size of air bags are you running on the front of your truck, i want to use the 8" on the rear, and thinking same or 7" for the front. Thankyou. James

Unless you have a C30 & plan on towing a 8" bag is too big for the rear

On the front, a 7" bag is what is commonly used & I havent had any problems with my Slam Specialties RE-7s

In the rear, I had a set of RE-7s & replaced them with a RE-6 equivalent, cuz the 7's were just too big for the job... Not that there isnt enough room just over kill & I was having to run really low pressure in them for them to be at the correct hight

dominator 2600 (8") front and rear...havent rode on them yet but they get some really good lift

Question, what kind of pressure for the rears did you run with the 8's versus the 7's and what was the ride height of the bags when normal drivingg roughly, thanks.

I used 7's on the rear of my 68 w/1.5" blocks. Ride height was set w/the rear axle tube roughly 1" inside the frame/c-section (bolt-in style c-sections). At that height, I had air pressure @ 30psi & the ride was very soft. I would have liked to run more psi for a little better spring rate but couldn't because I didn't want a bunch of 'rake'.

When I started re-vamping the suspension, I swapped to 6's so I could utilize more pressure @ the same ride height.

If you run Doms 2600 bag front then get ready to start cutting the stock lowers, these are massive bags. They ride great and get great lift for big wheels. Slams get 3in compressed, 11.5in inflated, while Doms get 2.7, and tower in at 13in inflated.
