Need help with 22's

I can get these 22's for $1,600 brand new from a tire shop here local. I'm having a hard time with this dead 5x5 bolt pattern. They are hard to find anywhere since no new car dealer really makes the 5x5 anymore, they are all 6x5.5 anymore. This wheel was in a tire shop, and had a tire mounted, and they let me take it and see what it looked like and how it fit. I got it at my place and here's the pics.


It fits perfect out back.


Does't lay out.


Here's why lol. I think after I cut it will lay out, but will the tire come up in the hood?


Do I need a smaller tire? The setup is 22x10, 6.29bs, and 265/35's.

Just want to hear everyones opinions on this setup, and how the wheels look.

smaller tire. and there plenty of 5x5 wheels out there. most of your big name billet wheel companys make 5x5.

These are from a local shop and they are $200 a wheel. Billets aren't $200 per wheel.

They look like they belong on a late '70's Cutlass Supreme with metal flake paint.

centerline makes 22s for around 200 a wheel and they have good offsets. i have a set of bonspeeds and a set of centerlines and you get what you pay for,but for the price of centerlines there hard to beat.

chrome wheels an older vehicles arnt my style but each there own.

On a dark Forrest green 67, what would look the best? I've juggled chrome, and black and machined. It's so hard to choose.

that tire size is 29.30 inches. i wouldnt even think about puting a 30 series tire on it. dont get wheels just because they are cheap for you, get what you really like and also think about the availability of getting a new one if something happens to one ( crack/ bent )
i work for a wheel and tire shop and i see 20's and up with ruined wheels that are discountinued or unable to find

There is nothing wrong with putting a chrome wheel on a classic truck. Putting "that" wheel on one is another story. It's just not an attractive wheel in "my opinion".

We can all appreciate being on a tight budget. Regardless of your budget, don't make choices that you might regret later.

If "you" like that wheel, then go for it. If your considering it only because its cheap, please keep looking

I don't know what you plan for paint but you can make those work. To knock down the bling a little paint the sections between the spokes to mach the truck. A little detail goes a long way

thats why most go with a 22" in rear 20" front.. eaiser to fully lay

I planned on a 22/24 setup. The rear is notched to lay on a 32, or 33in tire. I forget which one.


I'm just wanting opinions on for a choice. If I got a wheel like Coy's that most people get, I could go grey center, or black, or whatever.

Yes, the price was selling me on this wheel, and the fact it's different for this year range trucks was also the catch. I do like the Coys, but they are very common on these trucks for sure. Also, let's say I just get tires I want then I can get wheels, with my budget this may help. I can get what I want and not have to get a cheap set all at once. Also, let's say this size and bs, if I get a set I can choose my width, if let's say I want a deeper dish wheel I would narrow the rear and get a smaller bs to make up for this and get a deeper lip?

Then I need to find a wheel in a 10in wide and some thing like 4.29bs, that's a 10in and 6.29 in the pic and the lips like 3in or so. I couldn't find a Coy in a 22 and I know they are out there.

That's pretty sweet man. I love that wheel but there's so many out there, don't guess it matters if I like it. Still comes in a grey, and black too. I still couldn't find a 22 on Coywheels or backspacing options. Also wonder if a 22x10 with 6.29ish bs would look like that truck on the back?

Yea, I found it finally. That's basically what I need in a bs, it should look like the truck he posted above in the link. I have the 5x5 from that year truck.
