new carb or rebuild carb?

I have a edelbrock 1405 now. i took it off because the needle/seat was sticking and making it flood out. i replaced them both and now need to put it back on and tune it. while i have it off...what would be a better less maintenance replacement?

Re: new carb or rebuild carb?

Hey Blizz. Other's will chime in but in my opinion, the 1405 is the best daily driver/low maintenance carb you can get out of the box. The only slightly better option might be the 1406 which is basically the same except it has electric choke. If you think you have the needle issue fixed I would just keep what you got.

Re: new carb or rebuild carb?

sounds like a plan. thanks man. i'm not opposed to this thing, just wondering if there was something else out there that's better to the point of spending more money on it. obviously, i'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars if i'm only going to get something slightly better. ya know?
