Belts squealing HELP!

Every time I start the truck the belts squeal like a pig till it gets warmed up. VERY ANNOYING!!! What can cause this? Also I was going to put in aluminum pulleys in, but the set I found says it's for a KEYWAY power steering pump, what is that?

Re: Belts squealing HELP!

What year is yours?

And the Keyway is on the shaft of the power steering pump, if your has a nut that holds the pully on then it has a keyway.

Re: Belts squealing HELP!

Try tightening your belts. You could diagnose further by removing belts one by one, starting the truck briefly, to find which one is the culprit. I only have one belt, and it squeals when the weather is cold. I think mine is mainly due to the p/s pump starting to go bad.
