Intake: Square bore or spreadbore?
I've got a 400 SBC in a 78 silverado. Not real familiar with this engine. It's all stock and it needs a new carb or the Q-jet needs rebuilt. Would this have a square bore or spredbore on the intake?

It would be a spreadbore but you could put a adapter style spacer on it and put on what ever you want.

Re: Intake: Square bore or spreadbore?
Thanks. Yeah i guess I could put an adapter on. I was hoping it was spreadbore. The plan now is to put the good running carb off my dodge truck onto that motor to see if it is a carb problem of something else. I'm pretty sure it's carb related but that'll tell me for sure.
I know the dodge and chevy throttle linkages are different. This is just going to go on temporarily. I gotta have my good carb back on my dodge since it's my daily driver.
