I was thinking of doing a texture look just on the tread portion of the running boards. I have a picture but it will not cut and paste. It was on a beige truck, maybe one from this forum? Anyone know what product is used to create the texture that you can paint over? Thanks

go to your auto parts store and pickup an arisol can of rocker liner. it sprays in a texture and is paintable. thats what i did to the running boards on my '38

That is it. I was thinking of doing the texture just on the stepping area where the ribs are and leaving the rest smooth. Has anyone done that? Thanks
