Long bed to shortbed 47 frame
How many inches do you have to take out of a lonbed 3/4 47 gmc truck frame to make it a shortbed 1/2 ton frame? I know where to do the cut but need to know how many inches to take out?

Re: Long bed to shortbed 47 frame
The wheelbase on a shortbed is 116 inches. The stock longbed wheelbase should be 125.25 So the cut would have to be nine and a quarter inches.
That is according to this http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1947-1...et-trucks1.htm |
