Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

I spent most of the week getting my truck ready to come to the house. I did a lot of little stuff (replaced tailpipes, scraped the old tint off, etc.). I drove it to the house (about 30 miles) and it did great. Picked up a new tool box and rearranged the garage, now the bed of the truck is full of trash.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

Next time you do one of those heater cores, only take the pass side loose and remove the radio. I did one friday and removed it through the radio hole. Took about 45 minutes. Sneaky sneaky.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

I drove my truck! I have been daily driving it again for the last 3 weeks or so. I quit using it as a DD about 2 years ago. The poor thing has been too neglected for too long. My '37 Chevy Coupe project has really taken up what little time I have.

My wife has convinced me twice not to sell it. She says I don't look right driving anything else! She's a keeper.

She just recently found out that she likes driving it after I have owned it 8 1/2 years.

Congrats. They do finally sleep all night, if it's any consolation.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

I'm running this heater, and used 3" dryer ducting and cut up the factory dash vent for the defroster

do you have any pics of how you routed the ducting? i have that same heater and had to "improvise" a little when trying to hook up the defrost and other vents

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

no I don't, but I routed the ducting from the left vent to the driver side defroster opening, but right now the ducting is visible from under the dash, but I working on plenum so the floor vents will be facing out and hiding the ducting
